What You'll Actually Work Through

Five modules covering the structural, technical, and content aspects of SEO that matter for stores handling real inventory and transactions

01

Site Structure and Indexation

How search engines crawl e-commerce sites and what that means for your category hierarchy, filter URLs, and product organization.

  • Category depth vs. link equity
  • Parameter handling in filter URLs
  • Canonical implementation patterns
  • XML sitemap configuration for products
02

Product Page Optimization

Building product pages that serve both users looking to buy and search engines trying to understand what you sell.

  • Schema markup for products
  • Title and description frameworks
  • Image optimization for speed
  • Review integration patterns
03

Technical Performance

Speed matters differently for stores. Core Web Vitals, rendering issues, and how JavaScript frameworks affect crawling.

  • Lazy loading implementation
  • Critical rendering path
  • Client-side vs. server-side rendering
  • CDN configuration for images
04

Content Strategy

Creating category and collection content that helps people find products without turning every page into a thin blog post.

  • Category page content placement
  • Buying guide integration
  • Duplicate content handling
  • Internal linking across collections
05

Analytics and Measurement

Setting up tracking that shows which SEO changes actually drive revenue, not just traffic or rankings.

  • Search Console setup for e-commerce
  • Conversion tracking configuration
  • Keyword performance by product type
  • ROI calculation frameworks
06

Ongoing Optimization

Building processes for handling new products, seasonal inventory changes, and keeping SEO working as your catalog evolves.

  • Product launch checklists
  • Out-of-stock page handling
  • Seasonal URL management
  • Regular audit frameworks

How the Program Actually Works

Each module includes video demonstrations using real e-commerce platforms. You'll see actual Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento stores being optimized, not just theoretical examples.

The program runs over eight weeks with weekly video releases. You work through technical implementations on test sites provided in the learning environment, then apply the same patterns to your own store if you have one.

Tools used throughout: Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, PageSpeed Insights, Schema markup validators, and spreadsheet templates for tracking changes. No premium tool subscriptions required.

Assignments focus on actual SEO tasks: crawl a site and identify indexation issues, optimize five product pages and document the changes, configure schema markup for a product category, build an internal linking structure for a collection.
